We will be holding a community-wide re-election for those who were appointed to the Board of Directors. This will ensure we have the correct number of seats and staggered term lengths. (2) open seats for a 2-year term, and (2) open seats for a 1-year term.
An electronic ballot will be sent during the next Members Meeting to all homeowners (primary email addresses in the HOA directory) to allow floor nominations and will remain active for ~48 hours. These will be unique links to each HOA Member, so do not share them. We all have busy lives, and this will give everyone an opportunity to participate.
Self Nomination period - Today to Tues April 28, 2026
Member's Meeting - Virtual Members Meeting Tues May 5, 2026 @ 7pm
E-Vote period - Tues May 5, 2026 @ ~7:00pm to Thurs May 7, 2026 @ 7pm
Check your emails for the self-nomination link and the meeting link. Reach out if there are technical issues to the HOA email listed at the bottom of the page.
As nominations come in, they will be added to this page!

Statement of Interest:
Statement of Interest I am looking to join the board for many reasons but here are a few,
1) I have lived here for 5 years and barely know anyone in the neighborhood and would like to use this as a positive vehicle to meet some more of my neighbors
2) I want to support this neighborhood to be a more cohesive group not to intrude on people's lives but help them navigate through their wants and needs balanced with the needs of the greater community
3) I am personally fiscally conservative with my money which I don’t expect everyone to be but want to bring a tempering voice to any discussions that seem to be highly affecting other people’s money
4) I want to bring updating to the governing documents of the community to bring them into more contemporary workable set of documents to govern the community as it suits the community now
5) I want to bring sober communication back to neighbors directly talking to neighbors to work out problems and solutions.
6) I want the neighborhood to look to the board and HOA as friendly neighbors willing to help them not be “Ugh” police but the “How Can I help You” servant leaders.
Relevant Experience or Qualifications:
I have no experience on HOA boards other than currently helping on the board, and have only been in one other community where I actually participated in general board meetings. I am continuing to learn more about the Common Interest Community Laws.
A little about myself. I grew up in Raleigh and went to Millbrook High School and used to come out with my friends and have little parties out in this neighborhood and others when the streets were made but before the houses were built.
I graduated from UNC and decided to head west to San Diego and met my wife there playing coed soccer. She is now the financial manager and administrator for First Presbyterian Church downtown. She is a valued partner who gives rational and reasonable perspectives to ideas I bounce off her. We have two adult kids, a dog LJ and cat Bailey (never was a cat person until Bailey). We Beverly Hillbillied it back to Raleigh and found by I would say the grace of God this house in this neighborhood. It was a blessing coming from a small house sharing a garage with the neighbor to this beautiful neighborhood with lots of fresh air, space, trees, wildlife, lakes and hiking trails all in one place.
I am a family law attorney and work downtown. I am smart enough to know that I am rarely the smartest person in the room and enjoy being around people with different opinions on subjects, life or the world because it makes me refine my opinions.
I have opened up about me a little bit and I would love even if I don’t interact with you as an elected HOA board member that you stop by and say hello and have a conversation and tell me about yourself.

Statement of Interest:
My family and I moved into Hunters Landing in January of 2025. We have two young children and our hope is to raise them into their adult years in this home and neighborhood. Our desire is to be a part of a family-friendly, welcoming neighborhood where we know our neighbors and build relationships with them over the years. This is one of the reasons I showed interest in being a part of the board last summer when an interest email went out. I have been serving on our neighborhood's Board of Directors since Sept. 2025 as the head of the Social/Welcoming Committee.
Relevant Experience or Qualifications:
I have a degree in elementary education as well as experience in office management. I've planned many activities for school aged children and enjoy bringing families together to make memories and build relationships.
I just recently planned our neighborhood's Easter Egg Hunt where about 20 children participated along with their families. I have also welcomed new families to our neighborhood over the last several months, ensuring they feel known and welcomed to the community right away.

Statement of Interest:
My family and I recently purchased a home in Hunters Landing and are in the process of relocating from the Downing Creek community in Durham, where I served on the HOA Board of Directors for the past two years. That experience gave me a clear understanding of the responsibility that comes with serving on a board, from balancing budgets and priorities to making decisions that impact the entire neighborhood.
As a husband and father, including raising a child with special needs, having a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment is especially important to me. Hunters Landing stood out to us as a place where neighbors take pride in their community and where families can feel connected and supported. I want to do my part to help maintain and strengthen that kind of environment for all residents.
Through my prior board experience, I’ve seen how important it is to listen to residents, communicate clearly, and approach decisions with a long-term perspective. I believe consistency, transparency, and a willingness to engage with neighbors are key to maintaining trust and keeping a community moving in the right direction.
I’m interested in serving on the Hunters Landing HOA Board as a way to stay involved, give back, and contribute to a community that my family is proud to be a part of. I bring a steady, practical approach and a commitment to supporting the continued quality and character of the neighborhood.
Relevant Experience or Qualifications:
I bring a combination of leadership, operational, and governance experience across military, corporate, nonprofit, and HOA environments. I served over twenty-four years in the United States Army in Special Operations and Military Police units, where I led complex security and law enforcement operations and developed strong skills in leadership, accountability, and decision-making under pressure.
Professionally, I currently serve as Director of Strategic Partnerships at Extivita, where I focus on building and managing high-impact partnerships. Prior to this role, I worked in product management at Dell Technologies, where I was responsible for aligning business priorities, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering results in a structured and data-driven environment. I have also held leadership roles in the nonprofit sector with organizations such as Western Governors University and Veterans Bridge Home, focused on partnerships and community engagement.
In addition to my professional background, I have direct HOA governance experience from serving two years on the Downing Creek HOA Board, where I contributed to community initiatives, board decisions, and overall neighborhood management.
I currently serve on the board of Raleigh Veteran Connect and previously served on the board of the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina. These roles have further strengthened my experience in board governance, fiduciary responsibility, and working collaboratively to support organizational missions.
I hold an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to leadership and community service.
